2010 International Real Estate Capital Markets Conference


The 2010 International Real Estate Capital Markets Conference drew nearly 400 attendees and focused on the new world order of debt and equity capital markets. How the markets have changed, and how they are likely to evolve, what this means for the real estate industry, and what the best strategies are for raising debt and equity capital moving forward. The event featured two panel sessions, moderated by Jonathan Litt, Land and Buildings Investment Management, and P. Sheridan "Schecky" Schechner, Barclays Capital, and comprised of several high-profile real estate capital markets industry leaders discussing debt and equity capital markets issues. The conference concluded with the keynote presentation, “Government and Central Bank Intervention in the Current Economic Crisis: Implications for the Future” by Frederic Mishkin, a renowned economist and professor at Columbia Business School.

2008 Conference


2008 International Real Estate Capital Markets Conference


The First Annual International Real Estate Capital Markets Conference in 2008 drew a large audience of leaders throughout the real estate industry. The event featured keynote addresses delivered by Professor Carmen M. Reinhart, Professor of Economics, School of Public Policy and Department of Economics, University of Maryland and Professor Robert J. Shiller, Professor of Economics, Yale University, Professor of Finance, Yale School of Management. In addition, panel discussions were led by prominent voices from the industry including Joe Azrack, Apollo Global Management; Steve Wechsler, NAREIT; Doug Weill, Hodes Weill and Associates; David Twardock, Prudential Mortgage Capital Corporation; Jonathan Litt, Land & Buildings Investment Management; and Steve P. Baum, Five Mile Capital Partners, LLC.
