Technology Companies

At Goodwin Procter we’ve fostered a dynamic technology companies practice, designed to accommodate our clients’ needs as they grow and change. We bring a comprehensive, coordinated approach that interconnects business, emerging science, new technologies and the law.

With 180+ attorneys dedicated to our technologies group, we have one of the largest tech practices in the United States. From start-up financing and corporate partnering to public offerings and mergers, we’ve helped our clients find the strategic paths that foster growth.

We represent private ventures, small and mid-cap companies, and public industry leaders, including one-third of the Fortune 100, 120 S&P 500 companies and 80 NYSE companies. We’re proud to counsel over 1,000 technology-based companies, many of whom we’ve worked with from conception to IPO.

As credit markets change, we’ve been able to leverage longstanding client relationships through our Private Equity Practice to help our technology clients find appropriate financial partners. Our Tech Companies Practice also includes members of our Intellectual Property Group, who counsel companies in business, IP and due diligence matters. In addition, we offer expertise in company formation, tax, and mergers and acquisitions. Having all of these specialties seamlessly coordinated within one firm makes it easier for clients to effectively execute business strategies while reducing cost and risk.

We meet the needs of clients at every stage of development. And we look forward to helping the next generation of companies succeed in the global marketplace.
