Benjamin Tschann is an associate in Goodwin Procter’s Real Estate Practice and Real Estate Investment Management Practice. He represents clients in a variety of real estate transactions, including sales and acquisitions, financing, development and leasing of commercial (office and retail), industrial, multi-family residential and hotel/resort real estate assets. Mr. Tschann joined Goodwin Procter in 2007.

Work for Clients

Mr. Tschann’s practice consists of structuring, negotiating and documenting complex real estate transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures, mergers, debt financings, equity financings and other transactions for institutional investors, REITs, insurance companies, pension funds and other large financial institutions, fund managers, asset managers and developers. He also handles the various aspects of hotel/resort real estate transactions, including, hotel management and franchise agreements, for investors/owners of hotel/resort real estate assets.

Publications/Presentations

While attending law school, Mr. Tschann was a member of the Jessupp International Moot Court team which finished as the runner-up champion in the United Kingdom competition. He authored “Public Opinion and the United Nation: An Examination of Changes in American Support,” which appeared in the Missouri Valley Journal of Political Science (Summer 1999).

Prior to joining Goodwin Procter, Mr. Tschann was an associate in the Los Angeles office of Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw LLP.
