James Shreve, an attorney in the firm’s Financial Services Department, focuses his practice on a range of issues affecting financial institutions, with an emphasis on consumer financial services and privacy and data security issues.
PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES
Mr. Shreve is a member of the American Bar Association and the International Association of Privacy Professionals, and has advised non-profit organizations on a number of issues.

Mr. Shreve is the co-author (with Satish Kini) of “Notice Requirements: Common Themes and Differences in the Regulatory and Legislative Responses to Data Security Breaches,” which appeared in the March 2006 edition of the North Carolina Banking Institute Journal. He has also contributed to Goodwin Procter’s weekly financial services newsletter, the Financial Services Alert.
