Kecia Reynolds is a partner in the firm's Litigation Department and a member of its IP Litigation Practice. Ms. Reynolds has extensive trial experience with patent enforcement issues. She focuses her practice on representing clients in Section 337 evidentiary hearings before the International Trade Commission (ITC). Ms. Reynolds has participated in more than 20 ITC investigations and has a wealth of knowledge and keen insights into the practice and procedures of the ITC. Ms. Reynolds' practice also focuses on representing clients in Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) district court litigation and in appeals before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.

Her patent expertise extends to industries involving computer hardware and software, pharmaceutical chemistry and biotechnology.

Ms. Reynolds is an active speaker, both domestically and abroad, on matters involving practice and procedures at the ITC, the domestic industry requirement at the ITC, discovery in U.S. courts and biotechnology law. She is co-author of the “Licensing Patents and Technology” chapter in BSKB Advanced Patent Litigation and Licensing (2002).

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Prior to joining Goodwin Procter in 2012, Ms. Reynolds served as an investigative attorney in the International Trade Commission's Office of Unfair Import Investigations, where she focused on patent and trademark infringement matters. Previously, she practiced at IP firms Kenyon & Kenyon and Birch, Stewart, Kolasch & Birch, working on patent litigation and opinion matters. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Reynolds was a senior biologist at BioReliance, a leading provider of global biopharmaceutical testing services.
