Ted Pitcher is a partner in the firm’s Business Law Department and a member of its Life Sciences and Intellectual Property Transactions & Strategies Practices. He joined Goodwin Procter in 2006.
PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES
Mr. Pitcher has been selected for inclusion in Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business. He is a member of the American Intellectual Property Lawyers Association, American Bar Association and Boston Bar Association. Mr. Pitcher speaks frequently at meetings of IP professionals, business school and law school classes, and investor conferences.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Prior to joining Goodwin Procter, Mr. Pitcher was a venture partner at Flagship Ventures, where he evaluated life science and information technology investment opportunities and intellectual property issues, designed IP strategies and assessed IP risks in connection with Flagship start-ups and portfolio companies. Before that, he was a partner at Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault, where he founded and served as chair of the Patent & Intellectual Property practice group. Mr. Pitcher also was a founding partner of Lahive & Cockfield, an IP firm in Boston.
