
Gina Lynn Martin
Areas of Practice
Gina Martin is a partner in the firm's Business Law Department, devoting most of her time to the firm's Financial Restructuring Practice and Leveraged Finance Practice. Her corporate practice has focused on corporate restructurings, debt financings and acquisitions of distressed businesses. Ms. Martin has been active in all aspects of in and out of court restructurings of financially distressed businesses, including the representation of corporate debtors, asset based lenders, hedge funds and purchasers of distressed businesses.
Ms. Martin's company representations include, among others, Bob's Stores, Inc., Arthur D. Little, Inc., J.L. Hammett Company, and Adventis, Inc. Ms. Martin has also represented lenders or third party purchasers in the following restructurings, among others: Avado Brands, Inc., London Fog Industries, Inc., Samuels Jewelers, Inc., and Recoton Accessories, Inc.
Professional Activities
Ms. Martin is a member of the Boston and American Bar Associations and the American Bankruptcy Institute. She is listed in The Best Lawyers in America.
Publications/Presentations
Ms. Martin is the author of “When is Your 'Debt' Claim Not a Debt Claim?” which appeared in the National Law Journal and Corporate Counsel Magazine. Ms. Martin was recently a speaker at the American Bankruptcy Institute's Northeast Conference. In addition, she is a speaker and presenter for Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education Inc. While attending Fordham University School of Law, Ms. Martin served as the Business & Development Editor of the Fordham International Law Journal.

Prior to joining Goodwin Procter, Ms. Martin was an associate at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson in New York City.
