Peter Lane, who joined Goodwin Procter in 1999, serves as the firm’s Chief Information Officer. In this capacity, Mr. Lane is responsible for overseeing the firm’s service and support of information, telecommunication and video conferencing systems. He also chairs the firm’s Technology Committee and oversees the implementation and execution of firmwide IT initiatives. Prior to his tenure at Goodwin Procter, Mr. Lane served for more than 10 years as the IT Director at Choate, Hall & Stewart. In addition to Mr. Lane’s IT work in the legal community, his experience includes working at Wang Laboratories in systems consulting, at Liberty Mutual as a systems analyst and before that as a programmer. Nominated by EMC in 2003, Mr. Lane was recognized as a Computerworld Honors Laureate for work performed at Goodwin Procter in the area of business continuity. He holds a BS in Computer Science from the School of Management at Boston College.
