Mr. Litchman has, for many years, represented a major, publicly held, Cleveland-based real estate firm in, among other things, complex development ground lease transactions, and major office, biotechnology research and development and laboratory, retail and parking lease transactions. On behalf of a California-based major regional shopping center owner, he supervises all mall and pad leasing, and Mr. Litchman regularly represents owners of downtown office towers, and significant suburban office parks, in their office leasing activities to major tenants, with a particular emphasis on the Boston, New York and Washington, D.C. markets.
On behalf of tenants, Mr. Litchman has represented financial institutions in significant office lease transactions, and regularly represents several companies in their nationwide office leasing activities, as well as national retailers in their shopping center and other store leasing programs across the country. He recently represented the developer of a major suburban Boston retail and commercial mixed-use project, in connection with land disposition agreements, reciprocal easement agreements, financing arrangements and development matters, as well as a major national developer of multi-family housing, in connection with its potential acquisition in Rhode Island of a former industrial mill building, for conversion to residential apartments. He is presently representing an internationally prominent private primary and secondary school in its expansion into several major U.S. urban markets in connection with its leasing and acquisition activities and related development.
