Jamie Hutchinson, a partner in the firm’s Business Law Department and a member of the Private Equity Group, practices in the areas of corporate, securities and private equity transactional law, primarily on behalf of private investment funds and their portfolio companies. He joined Goodwin Procter in 2006.
Work for Clients
Mr. Hutchinson’s practice involves a full range of corporate and commercial transactions, including leveraged buy-outs, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital transactions, joint ventures and general corporate matters for public and private companies and private equity investment groups.
Mr. Hutchinson’s recent representations include: leveraged buyout transactions in the consumer product and financial services industries; growth equity investment in a well known social networking company; a PIPE transaction in a specialty food manufacturer; the sale of an equity-sponsored technology company; sale of a privately owned government contracting company to a public buyer; venture capital investments in a variety of clean-tech focused companies and a joint venture between two leading spirits producers.

Mr. Hutchinson speaks regularly on mergers and acquisitions for various events and organizations, including the American Management Association and the National Center for Continuing Education.

Prior to joining Goodwin Procter, Mr. Hutchinson was a partner in the Washington, D.C. office of Hogan & Hartson.
