Dick Floor, a partner in and co-chair of the firm’s Corporate Group, concentrates in corporate finance, representing a variety of underwriters, venture capital companies, investment companies and investment advisors.
Work for Clients
Mr. Floor has represented clients in the venture capital area, including TA Associates, Berkshire Partners, Tibbar (a Thomas H. Lee and Weston Presidio joint venture), Housatonic Partners, Alta Communications and Matrix Partners. He has represented the investment bank Putnam Lovell as well as a large number of investment advisory firms in merger and acquisition transactions.
Mr. Floor was a consultant on Thai legal and business matters to the USAID Private Enterprise Bureau and an organizer of the Institute of Management Education for Thailand.
Professional Activities
Mr. Floor is a director of New America High Income Fund, Affiliated Managers Group, Inc. and formerly a director of Altamira Investment Services, Inc. He served as co-chairman of the Reverse Investment Committee of the International Trade Advisory Board of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. In addition, Mr. Floor serves as chairman of The Harvard Center for Eating Disorders and is a trustee of Regis College. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America.
Professional Experience
Mr. Floor taught a seminar in corporate finance for four years at Harvard Business School, and has lectured to individual classes at the business schools of Harvard, Stanford and Columbia.
