Alyssa Fitzgerald is a senior attorney in the firm's Trusts and Estate Planning Practice and focuses her practice on advising tax exempt organizations, including assisting them with formation and obtaining tax-exempt status and advising them on issues such as foreign charitable activity, political activity and lobbying restrictions, intermediate sanctions and the private foundation excise taxes. Ms. Fitzgerald joined Goodwin Procter in 2006.

Ms. Fitzgerald is a co-chair of the Boston Bar Association Tax-Exempt Organizations Fundamentals Committee and is on the steering committee of the Boston Bar Association Tax-Exempt Section. She recently worked on the Goodwin pro bono team that set up and obtained 501(c)(3) status for the One Fund Boston, an organization formed to benefit those most affected by the Boston Marathon Bombings and related events.
