Areas of Practice
Christl Denecke is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Department and a member of the Intellectual Property Litigation Group, where she focuses on intellectual property matters with a particularly concentration on patent issues in the pharmaceutical, medical devices and biotechnology areas. Ms. Denecke joined Goodwin Procter in 2007.
Work for Clients
Ms. Denecke has advised clients and assisted in litigations relating to patents in the pharmaceutical, chemical, medical device, computer software, cellular telecommunications, food processing and consumer softgoods industries. Her experience includes litigation and counseling.

Ms. Denecke is a member of the Federal Circuit Bar Association, the American Intellectual Property Law Association and the Intellectual Property Section of the American Bar Association.
Professional Experience
Prior to joining Goodwin Procter, Ms. Denecke was an associate in the Palo Alto office of the IP-specialty firm Townsend and Townsend and Crew LLP. While attending law school, she served in internship positions for the Hon. Marian Blank Horne, U.S. Court of Federal Claims and the Hon. Randal Rader, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

Ms. Denecke is admitted to practice in California, and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the U.S. District Courts for the Central, Eastern and Northern Districts of California, and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
