Areas of Practice

Daniel Condon, a partner in the firm's ERISA/Employee Benefits Practice, specializes in the laws governing employee benefit plans.

Mr. Condon spends a substantial amount of time advising financial service organizations regarding ERISA fiduciary issues (including prohibited transaction issues) raised in the administration of ERISA trusts and the formation and operation of investment vehicles that pool the funds of ERISA plans and other institutional investors. He also has extensive experience in other employee benefit areas, including benefit issues that arise in connection with corporate transactions, and providing advice to employers with respect to the design, drafting and operation of tax-qualified pension and profit sharing plans and other ERISA plans.

In particular, Mr. Condon has significant experience with regard to the special issues affecting Section 403(b) plans, Section 457(b) plans and nonqualified deferred compensation arrangements sponsored by tax-exempt organizations.

Professional Activities

Mr. Condon is a member of the Boston Bar Association's ERISA Committee, the New England Employee Benefits Council and the American Bar Association. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America.

Publications/Presentations

Mr. Condon has been a panelist at seminars regarding ERISA fiduciary matters and other issues presented by Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, the Foundation for Continuing Education and the New England Employee Benefits Council.

Professional Experience

Mr. Condon has taught a pension law course at Bentley College.
