Dr. Joseph B. Crystal is an associate in the firm's Litigation Department, where he is a member of the Intellectual Property Group. He joined Goodwin Procter in 2004.

From 2004-2006, Dr. Crystal was a science advisor at Goodwin Procter, where he was involved in opinion work and litigation relating to pharmaceutical products. Before that, he was a scientific advisor at Cooper & Dunham LLP from 2001-2004, where he was involved in all aspects of patent prosecution.
