Scott Chase is a partner in the firm’s Business Law Department and is a member of the Capital Markets Practice and REITs Practice. Mr. Chase has worked on a wide variety of corporate and securities matters, including public and private offerings of securities, public and private mergers and acquisitions, securities law compliance and corporate governance matters for public companies and other general corporate issues. He joined Goodwin Procter in 2005.
WORK FOR CLIENTS
Mr. Chase’s experience in corporate finance consists of representing public and private companies, including publicly traded REITs, and underwriters in transactions such as IPOs, follow-on and shelf offerings, and private offerings of equity and debt securities. He has been involved in raising over approximately $1.8 billion in public and private equity and debt capital for the firm’s clients. Mr. Chase has also worked on completed public and private mergers and acquisitions on behalf of purchasers and sellers totaling over approximately $3.7 billion.
Mr. Chase has served as ongoing corporate and securities counsel for public and private companies in a variety of industries, including real estate, service, medical devices, life sciences and technology. He has advised these clients with respect to many general corporate and securities matters.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Mr. Chase was a summer associate at Goodwin Procter and served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Nathaniel M. Gorton of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
