Larry Cahill, a partner in the firm’s Real Estate, REITs & Real Estate Capital Markets Group, concentrates in the areas of real estate finance, acquisitions, development and leasing. Mr. Cahill has represented major financial institutions, including real estate investment managers, banks, pension funds and insurance companies in making acquisitions and loans on major projects around the country. He has represented a great number of major Boston area financial institutions and advisers making numerous commercial mortgage loans on multifamily residential, office, retail, hotel and industrial projects in the metropolitan Boston area and throughout the United States. Those loans run the gamut from mezzanine, construction, tandem, convertible and bullet loans.
PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES
Mr. Cahill has been selected for inclusion in Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business. He is a member of the Boston, Massachusetts and American Bar Associations. Mr. Cahill also serves as chairman of the Board of Directors of Holt International Children’s Services, an international adoption and child welfare agency.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Prior to becoming a partner at Goodwin Procter, Mr. Cahill was a commercial real estate developer in Chicago, where he managed the development of a number of office and industrial parks on behalf of major institutional investors.
