Allan Brilliant is a partner and co-chair of Goodwin Procter’s Financial Restructuring Practice. Mr. Brilliant concentrates his practice in bankruptcy reorganizations and non-judicial workouts and restructurings representing debtors, bank groups, bondholder committees, asset acquirers and unsecured creditors’ committees in large complex restructurings and reorganizations throughout the United States. He is also an accomplished bankruptcy litigator who has successfully handled contested confirmation hearings, fraudulent transfer and preference litigation and numerous bankruptcy appeals.

PUBLICATIONS AND PRESENTATIONS

Mr. Brilliant has lectured and written numerous articles on bankruptcy issues. He is the coordinating editor of a four-volume treatise on insolvency law, Fletcher Corporate Bankruptcy, Reorganization and Dissolution (Clark Boardman Callahan 1992).

Prior to joining Goodwin Procter, Mr. Brilliant was a partner in the Financial Restructuring Group at Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP in New York.

BAR AND COURT ADMISSIONS

Mr. Brilliant is admitted to practice in New York and Illinois. In addition, he is admitted to the bars of the U.S. Supreme Court; U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second and Seventh Circuits; U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York; U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois; and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin.
