Albert J. Solecki, Jr., New York Chair
Goodwin Procter’s New York office celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2007. We’re ranked in the top 25 law firms in size with headquarters outside of New York. Practice areas of strength include intellectual property and patent litigation (the firm represents the largest generic drug manufacturer in the world), products liability, white collar crime and government investigations, financial services, private equity, corporate M&A, real estate capital markets, tax, financial restructuring, and labor and employment. Tom Meriam leads the firm’s business law group in New York; David Hashmall leads the New York litigation team.
In spring 2008, we moved to the New York Times Building at 41st and Eighth. The New York office is a block from Times Square, at the heart of Manhattan’s famous theatre district. We’re not only centrally located but environmentally savvy: Goodwin Procter is one of the largest tenants in this eco-friendly building. Some of the best restaurants and shopping districts in New York are within walking distance; the subway and Penn Station are nearby.
