Social justice means everyone has a voice and a place at the table.

The goals of the committee are to:

  • Improve Goodwin Procter’s recruitment and retention of attorneys and staff of color
  • Extend our internal training on diversity and enhance its value to the firm
  • Provide mentoring and training to support the professional development of attorneys and staff of color

CRED organizes several events, including local office panel discussions for summer associates of color, and social gatherings with partners of color and other firm leaders.

"As a practicing Muslim, I attend weekly religious services that fall during business hours on Fridays. All of my colleagues were very understanding of this commitment and were more than willing to adjust meeting times to accommodate me even when they were inconvenienced. Not once throughout the summer did I ever feel pressured to compromise my religious duties to meet professional or social expectations.
