Committee on Racial and Ethnic Diversity

Social justice means everyone has a voice and a place at the table.

Goodwin Procter’s Committee on Racial and Ethnic Diversity (CRED) is a partner-led, firm-wide initiative focused on identifying and implementing opportunities to promote diversity within our firm. The Committee has a presence in every Goodwin Procter office, and includes:

  • Partners of color
  • Women partners
  • Associates
  • Roberto Braceras, Partner and CRED Chair
  • Mike Kendall, Hiring Committee Chair
  • Scott Westfahl, Director of Professional Development
  • Joan E. Tagliareni, Director of Legal Recruitment

The goals of the committee are to:

  • Attract and retain highly talented law students and attorneys of color
  • Support attorneys of color through strategic professional development and mentoring
  • Help the firm as a community to become increasingly culturally aware and appreciative of diversity
  • Leverage our diversity to strengthen our competitiveness in markets for clients and top talent

CRED organizes several events, including local office panel discussions for summer associates of color, and social gatherings with partners of color and other firm leaders.
