What inspires you?
Like most attorneys at most firms, we work hard. But we use our time differently. At Goodwin Procter, associates and partners are encouraged to explore a broad range of challenging legal issues through casework, professional development and training programs, and pro bono endeavors. We make a point of collaborating with some very interesting people, many of whom are not lawyers. For example, we joined with leaders from Harvard Business School to create leadership training programs for many stages of your career.
What kind of work do you want to do?
Our interactive assignment process allows associates to request a project, a person, or a specific type of case or transaction. You can invest time and energy in matters that engage and inspire you and your colleagues. We’ve found this approach makes for happier, smarter lawyers who do a better job for our clients. You’ll notice our attorneys are in the highest national ranks in several practice areas. If this sounds like the sort of firm where you want to work, we’d like to hear from you. Is this a good move?
Coming to a new firm is a calculated risk. If you’re comparing Goodwin Procter to other firms, consider this: we’re expanding our practice across a broader national and international platform.
We want you to feel comfortable here, so we’ve created some formal and informal programs to help make your transition to Goodwin Procter seamless. Our First Year Information (FYI) seminar is designed to help lateral junior associates new to the firm. We also have monthly practice group meetings and a network for more seasoned professionals so you can get involved at Goodwin right away.
